BRSTA is a Charitable 501(c)(3) organization whose goal is a revival of traditional mountain art and music. Our missions is to increase the knowledge of its members and the public about Appalachian culture through educational activities, music and dance instruction and events.

Founded by fiddler John Cockman in 2024, BRSTA is located in Boone, NC, in the heart of the historic Jordan V. Cook farm. This seventeen-acre steading functions as a school, a camp, and a center of traditional handcrafts.
